Commission launches “Smart Moves” campaign
September 16, 2003
Abstract: As part of their support for ‘Mobility Week’, the EC has launched their “Smart Moves” initiative. The campaign is aimed at over 20,000 Commission employees who, like thousands of fellow commuters across Europe, have to face traffic jams, polluted air, noise and road rage problems so often associated with living and working in cities. This awareness-raising campaign emphasises how the Commission is determined not only to support European Mobility Week, but also to bring about change internally. The message is clear: change is needed and individual choices can bring about that change. By choosing more sustainable mobility options, Commission employees, like all EU citizens, can make cities more accessible, improve their own health and protect the environment.
